Open to Everyone
One of the questions we’re asked most often is whether children need to play for Fleet Town FC or have previous football experience. The answer is simple – absolutely not!
Our camps are open to boys and girls aged 6–12 of all abilities. Whether your child plays every weekend, enjoys kicking a ball around in the garden or is trying football for the very first time, they’ll receive the same warm welcome.
Our experienced FA-qualified coaches create sessions that are inclusive, encouraging and designed to help every child develop at their own pace. There is no pressure to be the best player on the pitch. Instead, we focus on enjoyment, participation and helping every child leave with greater confidence than when they arrived.
Professional Coaching in a Safe Environment
Every session is delivered by FA-qualified coaches who are passionate about helping young players learn while having fun.
All members of our coaching team are DBS checked, giving parents complete peace of mind that children are in safe hands throughout the day.
Each day includes a variety of activities including football coaching, technical skill sessions, small-sided matches, challenges, competitions and team games. No two days are exactly the same, keeping children engaged, active and excited to return each morning.
More Than Just Football
While football is at the heart of everything we do, our camps are about much more than improving skills.
We believe school holidays should be filled with opportunities to make new friends, stay active, develop resilience and learn valuable life skills such as communication, teamwork and respect.
Many children arrive on the first morning feeling a little nervous, especially if they’re coming on their own. Our coaches work hard to create a friendly, supportive atmosphere where everyone feels included from the moment they arrive. By the end of the week it’s common to see friendships that continue long after the camp has finished.
Meet Fleet Town FC’s First Team Players
One of the highlights of our summer camps is the opportunity for children to meet members of Fleet Town FC’s Men’s and Women’s First Team squads.
Throughout the summer, first-team players will visit the camp to meet the children, chat about their football journeys, take part in activities and answer questions. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young players to meet local footballing role models, hear what it takes to play senior football and be inspired to continue enjoying and developing their own game.
Parents also have the option to purchase an official Mitre Impel Training Ball when booking. Children who do will use their own named ball throughout camp before taking it home at the end of the week, and during one of our player visits they’ll also have the chance to get it signed by members of the first-team squad – creating a lasting souvenir from their summer at Fleet Town FC.
For many children, meeting the players who represent the club on a Saturday afternoon is a memory they’ll treasure long after the school holidays have ended.
A Screen-Free Summer
In a world where children spend increasing amounts of time on tablets, phones and games consoles, we’re proud to offer a genuine screen-free experience.
Children are encouraged to spend the day being active, social and enjoying football rather than sitting behind a screen.
If your child needs to bring a mobile phone for before or after camp, that’s absolutely fine. Phones are securely stored throughout the day and can be accessed if needed, allowing children to stay connected while still enjoying a day free from digital distractions.
Flexible for Busy Families
We know that school holidays don’t always fit neatly around the working day, which is why we’ve created flexible booking options to support busy families.
Parents can choose from:
- The Warm Up – Early drop-off from 8:00am
- Football Camp – 9:30am–3:30pm
- Extra Time – Late collection until 5:30pm
- Full Day Cover – 8:00am–5:30pm
